Experience the wide open spaces of Northumberland as we combine some great cross-country biking with the fun trails of England's highest purpose built off-road routes within Kiedler Forset and you've got one crackin' weekend of off road riding.

It what is Skedaddle's 'own backyard', we'll check out an exquisitely hand crafted purpose built trail linking the 2,000 foot summit of Deadwater Fell with Kielder village, as well as exploring a natural cross border trail, that is a nothern classic!!

For the weekend, you base is a top quality 4 star Youth Hostel, and with all meals included in the weekend price it's great value for money!

This four-day trip begins in Winchester and covers 100 miles of breathtaking mountain biking along the South Downs Way - the 100 mile national trail along the ridge and undulating countryside between Winchester in Hampshire and Eastbourne in East Sussex.

Situated in one of the driest and warmest parts of the UK and running over chalk in its entirety, ensures that it maintains a relatively firm and dry surface. We follow the ancient drover’s trails along the top of the South Downs to finish our mountain biking holiday at Beachy Head overlooking the English Channel.

Whilst not requiring technical expertise, a good level of biking fitness is required on this tour. As with all Skedaddle mountain biking holidays, we have the back up of our support vehicle throughout, including collection from Haslemere if arriving by train, and back to here at the end of the ride or alternatively to Eastbourne train station if more convenient at the end of the ride.
