One of our toughest mountain biking holidays. You’ll be hard pushed to find a more dramatic European destination than the Swiss Alps. Enormous mountains such as Matterhorn and the Eiger, pristine glaciers, idyllic mountain pastures and lakes provide a stunning backdrop for this incredible and challenging alpine journey.

Our mountain biking holiday will take you through three very contrasting and beautiful regions as we ride through the pastures and alongside the lakes, tackle some outstanding singletrack in the gigantic mountains of the Berner Oberland region and sample the delights of riding in the warm and sunny climate of the Valais with it’s juxtaposing vineyards and glaciers.

From our lakeside hotel in Vitznau, a short boat trip takes us across the beautiful Vierwald Slatter See Lake to start our two wheeled fun and frolics. Our mountain biking holiday continues via the impressive limestone formations of the Aare Gorge as we head toward Interlaken. The route allows us to take in the wonderful mountain panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains – the place can quite literally take your breath away!

The mountain biking week holiday progresses and the riding just keeps getting better and better! Onward through the Kandertal, passing rivers and waterfalls, into the Valais region with it’s massive glaciers and breathtaking views of soaring alps and craggy rock faces until we eventually reach our final destination of traffic-free Zermatt.

Situated at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn, this is where we spend our last two nightsof this mountain biking holiday. With superb views of the mountain, our hotel is in a superb location to enjoy an array of amazing routes that will tweak the excitement scale up still further. With trains, and a funicular railway aiding your progress to the higher reaches of the area, what ever your choice, it will be as fun packed and exhilerating as you choose to make it!!
