A superb mountain biking holiday for those up for a Spanish challenge!  Crossing the Pyrenees mountain chain linking the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean on a mountain bike is the challenge Skedaddle have set up for those seeking a new and more demanding mountain biking holiday.

A total of 1000km spread out through 13 thrilling cycling days take you over some of the big mountains of the Pyrenees, on the Spanish side of border.

The biking days are superb and varied, long and steady mountain climbs on forest roads take us to the green slopes, pastures for cattle and horses. The tiny villages down in the narrow valleys and the snowcapped rocky peaked mountains under the ever blue summer skies make up for the astonishing views one lives with for the whole journey.

In July it is normally very warm everywhere, and is the best holiday time of the year to cycle in the Pyrenees, with most of the time spent at high altitude where the air is cool.

This mountain biking holiday has been planned in such a way that we go through the most remote and isolated areas and at night we stay in cosy small hotels in the typical villages of the deep valleys. At dinner we try the delicious local cuisine, which differs according to the region we are at.
