Join us in Malawi for an incredible mountain bike adventure! There is no country in all of Africa that has its geography so sculptured and determined by Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Towering mountains, lush, fertile valley floors and enormous crystal-clear lakes is what Malawi is all about. A littleknown small gem of a country in the heart of Africa, there’s no better way to enjoy it than by bike.

The variety of experience and scenery in the north of Malawi make it the best area for a biking holiday. Our journey starts from Chintheche on the shores of beautiful Lake Malawi. Here we ride along the lakeshore, past broad sandy beaches, inland through rain forest and fishing communities on what is a great introduction to the country.

Leaving the lake at Nkhata Bay, fabulous riding along dirt tracks take us through thick forest and picturesque tea and coffee plantations to Mzuzu. Following the course of the Rukuru River, through the dramatic landscape of Njakwa Gorge we arrive at Vwaza Marsh Game Reserve.

Nyika - Malawi’s most spectacular wild area is our base for a few days of riding. At a height of over 2,000 metres its temperate climate is a great contrast to the lakeshore. Our journey continues along arguably the prettiest road in Malawi to Livingstonia and ends with a relaxing stay in the Viphya Mountains, its wide selection of forest roads and tracks offer a great choice of rides to round off our memorable African biking experience.
